About Isle of Hope Baptist Child Development Center

Isle of Hope Baptist Child Development Center was established in 1991. We share the property with our church at 22 Rose Avenue. We provide care for ages 6 weeks through 5th grade. This includes daycare and aftercare for school aged children. The aftercare turns into a summer camp during Summer.

Our mission is to care for your child in a loving, Christian atmosphere. We want our center to be your child’s “home away from home”. By nurturing children in a safe, loving, Christian manner we want to teach good manners, honesty and to help establish responsibility and self-esteem as they play, learn and grow.



Part-Time Floater for Daycare/School Aftercare




  • Have a high school diploma.
  • Previous child care experience preferred.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check & drug test.
  • CDA credential or TCC.
  • Genuinely care about children and their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
  • Be knowledgeable about state licensing requirements and understand that we will be in compliance at all times.
  • Be clean, neat, and a good role model for impressionable children.
  • Be able to move from room to room, as needed on a daily basis.
  • Have a passion for working with young children.
  • Dependable, adaptable/flexible, people-oriented, hard-working, reliable


  • Interact with children in a loving & caring manner.
  • Develops a respectful and positive relationship with families, teachers & staff.
  • Maintain constructive and open communication with parents/caregivers.



  • Familiarity with Bright from the Start regulations.
  • Willing to attend trainings to learn & further knowledge.


 Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Sit comfortably on the floor while interacting with children
  • Be able to push a Bye-Bye buggy.
  • Take children outside.
  • Assist with field trips, as needed.

Assistant Director

Isle of Hope Baptist Child Development Center

Job Brief

We are seeking an Assistant Director that will be responsible for assisting the Center Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered, and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately.

This position reports to Center Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume duties of Center Director and Teachers as needed during their absence.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to quality standards in accordance with Center guidelines and state and local requirements; implement improvements where needed.
  • Maintain communication with families and community through appropriate outreach activities.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • 3 – 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
  • High energy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear full background check.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • CDA Credential or greater in early childhood education or related field of study.

Physical Requirements

  • run or move quickly

Employment Type - Part Time


Annual Salary - $25,000
